Location: Washington, DC

Architect:Arthur Cotton Moore Associates
Contract Amount:$20 million
As part of a joint venture, Grunley renovated interior and exterior portions of the Old Post Office Pavilion. Built in 1899, the building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and serves as a popular tourist attraction. The scope included replacing the existing slate roof and sheet metal, adding a skylight, restoring four large clocks (25' around) located at the top of the tower, installing ten new bells donated from England (the largest weighing four tons) in one 480' tower and installing new mechanical and electrical systems. We also performed extensive structural and ornamental work; plaster and millwork; and repair of marble and historic hardware.
