GRUNLEY CONSTRUCTION AWARDED CONTRACT FOR MODERNIZATION OF FACADE AND SITEWORK AT 1401 NEW YORK AVENUE

Rockville, MD - (May 21, 2007) Grunley Construction has been awarded a $9 million contract for the Modernization of the Facade and Sitework at 1401 New York Avenue. The project consists of re-cladding (overlaying) the brick façade of this existing 12-story building with new stone panels and ornamental fins and re-glazing and refinishing the windows. Work also includes upgrading the existing streetscape and entrances to the building and retail tenants. All work will be performed while the building remains occupied. Work is underway, and will be complete by December 31, 2007.

Wereldhave USA is part of Wereldhave N.V., an international real estate investment company. Michael Winstanley Architects is the architect for the project and Square 134 is the associate architect.
