MICHELLE HONEY, FAIA JOINS GRUNLEY AS Executive, Higher Education and Life Sciences Programs
Ms. Michelle Honey, FAIA has joined Grunley's Planning and Business Development Department as Executive, Higher Education and Life Sciences Programs. She will be leading the firm's business development efforts to expand its presence in the construction and renovation of college and university facilities. This will encompass academic facilities, research and teaching laboratories, performing arts centers, athletic facilities, residences, libraries, student unions, administrative buildings, as well as hospital systems, clinical and research facilities, health care, veterinary science, and related facilities.
Michelle is a construction management executive with more than 25 years of experience. She was the Director of Planning and Project Management for Georgetown University for eight years, and was University Architect and Director of Architecture, Engineering and Construction at the George Washington University for 13 years.
She has an Master of Business Administration from Georgetown University and Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Building Sciences from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Michelle is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects, an active member of the Association of University Architects, a member of the Society of College and University Planners, and serves on the Board of Directors of Gonzaga College High School and the Washington Architectural Foundation.
