Current Status

This design/build project involves modernizing the State Place Wing (south) and half of the east and center wings of the EEOB Building. Construction has hit its full-stride. Underpinning and foundation work is complete in the south courtyard. The center wing of building has all of the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) risers completed, patched, and prime painted. The east wing is in patching mode. Selective demolition has been completed in the south wing.

In the south courtyard, concrete walls are being formed and the coordination of MEP equipment is underway. In the center wing raised flooring and new windows are being installed. In the east wing folding fire door support steel is being installed along with MEP risers.

What’s Next?

Focus will soon turn towards the concrete walls, columns, and elevated decks in the south courtyard, the installation of the mechanical equipment in the center wing, the underfloor electrical systems in the east wing, and construction of the Historic Zone 1 Areas in the south wing.  Other activites include MEP rough-in and structural steel work in the south courtyard, final paint and flooring installation in the center wing, and raised flooring and window installations in the east wing.

Work in the south wing include installation of MEP risers and the Historic Zone 1 Spaces.
