Mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems will be upgraded. New interior and exterior egress stairs will be added on the east and west sides of the building; offices and bathrooms, including historic hardware and fixtures, will be renovated. All window frames will be restored and sashes replaced, and four passenger elevators and two freight elevators will be renovated.
