GRUNLEY CONSTRUCTION continues to expand with FOUR NEW Professional staff
Rockville, MD (August 27, 2007) – Grunley Construction Company is pleased to announce that Mr. Stephen Smith, a 30+ year construction veteran, has joined the firm as Project Executive. In addition, Messrs. John Kilby, Douglas Cruce, Sr. and Michael Hoskins have joined as Senior Project Managers.
- Mr. Smith spent most of his career working in the general contracting industry. His project focus has been with design/build, base building, and data center construction specialties. As Project Executive with Grunley, Mr. Smith will oversee the Phase II modernization and renovation of the Eisenhower Executive Office Building in the District of Columbia. “Since my arrival here at Grunley, I have been impressed by everyone’s professionalism and dynamism. Not only is the entire staff dedicated to their work but the attitude of the staff and the work environment makes it a pleasure to get up every morning and come to work,” said Smith.
- John Kilby is a 30-year veteran of the construction industry, having worked on projects involving SCIF space, mission critical data center renovations, and other specialty construction elements for high profile telecommunications and consulting firms. Recently, Mr. Kilby has been an integral member of our technical team for several new proposals prior to his upcoming project management assignment.
- Doug Cruce comes to Grunley with extensive base building experience, having managed many large projects for educational institutions, the armed forces, and other private industry groups along the eastern seaboard. His expertise ranges from managing pre-cast and cast-in-place concrete and steel construction and site work, to overseeing detailed mechanical and interior finish work. Mr. Cruce currently manages the new Fort Myer Child Development Center design/build project for Grunley.
- Michael Hoskins, a mechanical specialist, has an extensive background in mechanical engineering, acting as project manager while overseeing numerous projects throughout the last 10 years. His experience includes active military service with the U. S. Naval Reserve in Operation Desert Storm, retiring with the rank of Commander. Mr. Hoskins currently oversees the mechanical portion of the Supreme Court modernization project for Grunley.
