michael tardif joins grunley as director of ipd systems

Rockville, MD – (October 21, 2008) Michael Tardif has joined Grunley Construction Company, Inc. as Director of Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) Systems. He will develop and lead the firm’s business technology and service delivery strategy to improve quality and efficiency in meeting Grunley’s customers’ construction and building information needs. “The building industry is in a period of rapid change that will affect business processes and service delivery throughout the building lifecycle,” notes Ken Grunley, president. “For over fifty years, Grunley has always put the customer first. Michael has spent his entire career working in the forefront of computer applications in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) sector. He recently co-authored, with Deke Smith, FAIA, a book titled Building Information Modeling: A Strategic Implementation Guide for Business Leaders in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Real Estate Asset Management, to be published by John Wiley and Sons, Inc., May 2009. Prior to joining Grunley, he founded and led Design Byline, a consulting firm specializing in business management and information technology for the AEC industry.
