Rockville, MD - (December 11, 2007) Grunley Construction Company is pleased to announce the launching of its updated logo and brand, Grunley – Building on Tradition (new logo above). Widely recognized for its success with detailed and complex projects, Grunley Construction plans to continue to build upon this solid foundation and reputation as a trusted partner within the Washington, DC building community. In making this announcement, Ken Grunley, president, stated, “Through this promotion, we look to strengthen our market presence with private developers and owners, higher educational institutions, state and local governments, and other organizations.”
Grunley has restructured, renovated and modernized many of the most historic buildings and structures in the nation’s capital. What some may not be aware of is that the firm has successfully provided its full spectrum of construction services and capabilities to other clients in the private development and educational communities. Grunley’s specialty is providing these services in fully occupied buildings.
Recent projects include the full renovation of the 350,000 sf Fairfax High School in Virginia, which included multiple new additions. In Tyson’s Corner, Grunley is completely renovating a 200,000 sf corporate office building, Liberty Park, for a private developer.
Currently, Grunley is working at 1401 New York Avenue, NW for owner, Wereldhave, USA and local construction management company, Orr Partners, re-cladding the brick façade of this fully occupied, 12-story building. New glass, stone panels, and ornamental fins are being installed in addition to upgrading the existing streetscape and entrances to the building and retail tenants.
Grunley Construction is listed among the Engineering News Record’s Top 400 Contractors nationally.
