Grunley Construction upgraded the fire and life safety systems within more than 1,600,000 SF of this building located at 1000 Independence Ave., SW. The building serves as the headquarters of the U.S. Department of Energy.
New light fixtures, ceilings, risers and ductwork were added and asbestos abatement performed. Work in the occupied areas was performed at night.
