This project included the phased removal of ceilings and light fixtures followed by the installation of sprinkler, fire alarm, energy efficient lighting, HVAC distribution and acoustic ceiling systems. The building houses offices of the Secretary, Deputy Secretary and General Council of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), as well as other key offices of this Cabinet level agency. All work was performed at off-hours, and nightly clean-up and protection was performed to accommodate tenants.
