The Jackson Place exterior renovation and restoration project is located on Lafayette Park and is adjacent to the Blair House (The Presidents guest house) and is across the street from the White House. This facility is comprised of ten (10) multistory masonry townhouses originally constructed in the 2nd half of the 19th century.
Our restoration efforts included the stabilization and repair of all façade brick and stone elements, removal and reinstallation of structural windows and door surrounds, concrete repairs and new installations and exterior painting and finishing. Our in house forces performed a majority of the masonry and stone repair components as well as erection, maintenance and removal of all project scaffolding and staging. Protection of existing historic elements and maintaining access to the project were important considerations. The buildings all remained occupied by White House appointees and staff throughout the construction process. The project was successfully performed and completed in accordance with the project construction schedule.
