- Removal of the existing roof;
- Replacement of plywood underlayment; and
- Installation of a new roof.
The project also included extensive structural repairs to the existing joists and beams and the restoration of all windows and doors. Restorations included the stripping of existing frames and epoxy consolidation of frames. The sash and doors were replaced and/or restored and all hardware was adjusted and weather-stripping was provided for a weather tight system.
All profiles were duplicated to maintain the historic integrity of the building. New mechanical and electrical systems were installed within the historic fabric of this 175-year-old structure. The building was reopened as a museum by the M-NCPPC.
