Grunley repaired/ replaced the existing underground deluge piping for the West Side Hangars. The work included all excavation, demolition, TV inspection, pipe cleaning, pipe replacement, slip lining, valve replacement, testing, backfill, restoration, and traffic control. This work was performed in phases so that only a portion of one hangar was affected at any given time. Service was maintained to all other hangars at all times.

Grunley also provided new and or modified fire protection systems in seven hangars and one maintenance building. The scope of work for each hangar included the construction of a new fire-rated equipment room, the replacement of the existing deluge sprinkler systems with a wet pipe sprinkler system, a new fire alarm system, and high expansion foam system used to help contain fuel fires.
