Gilbane Building Company and Grunley serve as Construction Manager as Constructor (CMc) for Construction Services for Phases 2 and 3 to modernize the Herbert C. Hoover Building in downtown Washington, DC. The building serves as the headquarters for the U.S. Department of Commerce and houses 3,000 staff. The building remains 100% occupied during construction. Phase 3 is for the renovation of the second corridor of the building, which is primarily office space. The project is seeking LEED NC 2.0 Silver.
