For this project, Grunley made structural improvements at the IMF Headquarters Building in Washington, DC. Because the building is occupied, all work was performed at night and off-hours.
In select areas, the ceiling was removed to allow access to the structural component's requiring improvement, and the electrical, mechanical and life safety components were removed and relocated. Because the building is occupied and in full use, temporary systems were installed to accommodate occupancy. Upon completion of each select area, the electrical, mechanical and life safety systems were repositioned as well as the ceilings and finishes restored.
