This project involved the installation of sprinkler, fire alarm, lighting and ceiling systems in an occupied, highly-secured government building. Areas were fully occupied and work was performed on weekends only within asbestos control areas.
On Friday evenings, Grunley Construction:
- Videotaped the furnishings of the offices
- Moved furniture
- Contained space
- Removed asbestos contained ceilings
- Installed a new wet pipe sprinkler system, a new fire alarm system, light fixtures with air boots, a new suspension system and new ceilings.
Work was followed by the complete clean-up and furniture relocation to accommodate the government's full use every Monday morning. This project took almost two years working every weekend.
