Grunley Construction renovated the Brazilian Embassy's Chancery Building. Constructed in 1971, the Brazilian Embassy was the first modern building along Embassy Row. NELSON of Reston, VA served as the Project Manager.
The scope of work included:
- Abatement and select mold remediation;
- Replacement of the existing HVAC and lighting systems;
- Installation of a wet-pipe sprinkler system;
- Removal and replacement of the built-up roofing system;
- Flooring and ceiling replacement throughout the building; and
- Bracing, replacement, and painting of select demountable partitions.
