This 130,000 SF project within an existing post office building at National Airport required the gutting of existing offices, demolition of mezzanine space and structure and the construction of new office space and two-story open bay space for baggage handling testing systems infrastructure for Transportation Security Agency (TSA). The work included two garage areas with loading docks for vehicles to access the facility and transport the baggage screening systems infrastructure. Grunley was the construction contractor for the baggage handling system design-build integrator, Vic Thompson Company.
