Grunley completed the $16.6 million exterior restoration of the Sidney Yates Building which currently serves as headquarters for the United States Forest Service. The five-story building measures approximately 188,000 gross square feet and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The exterior construction services were fulfilled according to historic preservation requirements and included upgrades to the façade such as re-pointing mortar and masonry repairs; window repainting and repairs; perimeter gutter replacement; repairs to moats and moat railings; and repainting doors, lamp posts and other ornamental elements. The building remained occupied throughout construction and access to the building remained secured and controlled at all times. Grunley previously completed the interior renovation of the Sidney Yates Building.
