    Grunley to Construct a New Munitions Storage and Maintenance Facility at Andrews Air Force Base

    Charter Environmental Services has awarded Grunley a $22,300,000 subcontract to build a new munitions storage and maintenance facility at Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland. Charter, the prime contractor to the Department of the Air Force, is based in Boston, Massachusetts and specializes in complex infrastructure, environmental and water resource issues for government and industry. URS Corporation will serve as the Construction Manager, and CH2M Hill is the Architect/Engineer.

    Grunley to build new munitions storage and maintenance facility at Andrews Air Force Base

    Thirty-one acres of forest will be developed in order to construct the new 21 structure complex, and associated roadways and infrastructure. The project will seek LEED NC Silver certification, and is scheduled for completion in September 2012.
