Grunley Bikes to Support Wounded Airman Program

Grunley sponsored and participated in the 2015 Air Force Cycling Classic, which took place on Sunday, June 14th, in Arlington, Virginia.

The Grunley Team included 15 bikers this year. All funds raised from this event support the Air Force Association’s Wounded Airman Program.

The Challenge Ride consisted of a 15km circuit in and around the Pentagon, Crystal City and the Air Force Memorial. Grunley’s riders did considerably well despite the intense, 80+ degree heat; a few riders even beat their times from last year!

Cyclists were given three hours to complete as many laps as possible, and Grunley’s riders completed a total of 53 laps, ranking 11th out of 25 teams. Grunley’s total time was 29:49:07:45. Congratulations, Team Grunley! Click here to see the results of the 2015 Corporate Challenge.

The Air Force Association Cycling Classic (AFACC) is the region’s premier cycling event and one of the largest cycling events in the country. The races are part of the USA Cycling National Criterium Calendar and attract some of the top cycling talent in the nation and world. The event offers the best in competitive urban cycling, providing racers with a challenging course and excitement for spectators.

Grunley is a proud supporter of the Wounded Airman Program and thanks all who serve our country.
