    Grunley Subcontractors Receive WBC Craftsmanship Awards

    Four Grunley subcontractors have received 2013 Craftsmanship Awards from the Washington Building Congress. One of the subcontractors received the prestigious STAR Award for Technical Excellence. The award winners include:

    • Superior Iron Works, Inc. — STAR Craftsmanship Award for Technical Excellence, Structural Steel Framing, Smithsonian Institution’s Arts & Industries Building Revitalization - Shell: Exterior Enclosure & Structure
    • History Wood Windows Restoration, LLC — Craftsmanship Award for Windows and Storefronts, St. Elizabeths Adaptive Reuse
    • Singleton Electric Company, Inc. — Craftsmanship Award for Power Generation, Distribution and Switchgear, Herbert C. Hoover Building (a Grunley joint venture)
    • John J. Kirlin, LLC — Craftsmanship Award for HVAC-Piping, Herbert C. Hoover Building (a Grunley joint venture)

    All of the craftsmen were honored at the WBJ banquet on March 22nd at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, DC.
