The renovation of this iconic building in Washington, DC is valued at approximately $80 million and is currently in the planning and design phase. It will be accomplished with true Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) methods. The IPD process is governed by the signing of a multi-party integrated form of agreement that provides for a complete collaborative environment, including the owner, architect, contractors and key subcontractors.
On February 5, 2013, eight companies, including Grunley, entered into this agreement that will be the most significant IPD project on the East Coast. It is also one of the first projects to utilize this form of contract on a major renovation.
