    Grunley's Latest Project Wins

Grunley is pleased to announce our latest project wins

It's been a very exciting week at Grunley with the notification of multiple new significant project wins. A few of our recent project wins include:

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Baltimore District
Secure Federal Building along the National Mall

Grunley has been awarded a $129.4 million design/build contract to design and upgrade existing windows, doors and cityscape for an approximately 1M SF secure federal building located along the National Mall in Washington, DC. Our design partner is KCCT Architects.

Smithsonian Institution Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden Revitalization

Grunley has been awarded a $71 million contract to revitalize the Hirshhorn Museum Sculpture Gardens for the Smithsonian Institution. The project will revitalize the sculpture garden by addressing the waterproofing and concrete decay problems in the sculpture garden and underground passage to improve stormwater management on the site. Ramps at the west end of the garden will improve accessibility to the sunken garden from the north and south. New stacked stone walls will create more intimate spaces for the display of sculptures on the east end of the garden. A broad open area on the west side will allow the museum to exhibit larger scale contemporary works. The existing pool in the central space of the garden will be rebuilt and a new, tiered pool to its south will provide a performance space. The work will also include demolition of the existing concrete retaining walls in the garden and replacing them with walls that match historically; protection of the historic elm trees on the east and west sides of the site; and installation of new drainage and stormwater water management systems.
