Grunley Named a “Top Green Buildings Contractor”
Grunley made ENR’s top 100 list for green building contractors nationwide. The company’s rank increased considerably this year—rising from #56 in 2014 to #47 in 2015. Last year, about 60% of Grunley’s revenue originated from “green” projects.
In developing the 2015 list, ENR ranked contractors nationwide based on 2014 revenue from "projects that have been registered with or certified by a third party organization that sets standards for measuring a building's or facility's environmental impact, energy efficiency or carbon footprint" (e.g. USGBC).
Grunley has been involved with the U.S. Green Building Council and the execution of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED™) projects since the earliest days of the program. The company boasts an impressive portfolio of LEED certified buildings, including LEED Silver, Gold and Platinum Certifications. Not only is Grunley committed to sustainable building practices, but the company also supports its staff earning LEED accreditations from the U.S. Green Building Council. Many of Grunley’s employees—at every level of the company—are LEED Accredited professionals.
