Grunley Wins GPO Building D Pressroom Buildout Project
Grunley has been awarded a $49.8 million contract to perform the Building D Pressroom Buildout project for the U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) in Washington, DC. As part of the Federal government's legislative branch, GPO produces and distributes information products and services including U.S. passports for the Department of State as well as the official publications of the Supreme Court, the Congress, the Executive Office of the President, executive departments, and independent agencies. The Building D project's scope of work includes the renovation of the existing 3rd floor to accommodate a new 12-color large format press, an ISO-7 clean room, buildout of future manufacturing and secure waste destruction spaces; and improvements to all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, IT and security requirements.
